We have been there.
Struggling to understand the ever changing “rules” about food that we all hear from ‘Low Fat is Best, ‘Bread Makes You Fat’, ‘Calories in vs Calories Out’, ‘ You Have to Eat 3 Small Meals and 2 Snacks Daily’ or ‘Breakfast is the Most Important Meal of the Day’. The list goes on. We have tried crazy diets based on eating tuna and vanilla ice cream.
We have lost weight, gained weight and lost weight again.
We have struggled to stay accountable.
Back in the day, waiting tables and bartending together, the two of us used to talk about the business we would start one day. One of us was in school working on a nutrition degree and the other going to dental school but developing a dream to follow the same path. We used to talk about our love of food, of people, of fitness. We talked about our own struggles with weight and diet culture and our passion for helping others avoid the same pitfalls we faced.
Launching our own nutrition practice has always been our dream!!
Now here we are, 15 years later (how can it be that many?!), still best friends and now co-founders of CMB Nutrition & Wellness! We still love food, fitness and people. And our passion for nutrition and helping others to navigate the often muddy waters of reaching their goals and what we call Complete Mind Body Wellness has only grown.
